I think that this will really boost the amount of activity on the site, I mean it is already pretty active but from what I have heard there would be a lot more if the rules where less strict and set for a more mature audience, so what you guys are doing with the site is just perfect.

Sorry to be the spoil sport, but I don't fully agree with the leniency on profanity.

I'm surprised at some of the words that are now permitted. 'Shit' isn't too much of a concern as that's quite weak. It's some of the stronger words (many of which only have a hostile use) such as '****', 'Asshole', 'Bastard' and 'Wanker'. Are there any situations where one could use these words in a non-hostile way? It just seems unnecessary to allow these words here. I love this website and community; I don't want to see it plagued with foul and indecent language.

I hope to see this reviewed. There is still a large young audience on this site and I don't think it's appropriate to be encouraging them to use this kind of language. It's just indecent. Could we at least have a profanity filter option to block out some of these words?

I do like the other rules changes though, so thanks for those.

Lets be honest though, those words are used everyday in society now so the 'younger' generation will be hearing them everywhere. Though they can only really be used against people, most of the time words like this are used in jokes.

I like the new found freedom, just feel more relaxed.

Using any words to harass someone else will just get the post removed, so I don't see it as an issue. Swearing is expressive and part of real life, which it's time we stopped trying to shield people from.

As for the younger audience (and they're not even very young), a site with a less-restrictive word filter will not affect people who already have access to Youtube, Reddit, Vine, etc.

What about warnings that no longer apply to the rules. Will those be removed?
