I would recommend starting of with a capture card and a mic, its pretty self explainatory from there.
Just upload helpful and entertainful videos that people want to whatch.

Don't make helpful videos.

If you're looking to go pro, you need to start live streaming and playing tournaments. If you're just starting, PGL and GameBattles are where you need to start, as you get better I would recommend moving over to UMG. Enter tournaments, win, and get known.

Well, getting on a professional team is defiantly not easy, It takes a lot of experience and practice. And even when you do get on the team you are constantly scrimming/practicing. It all isn't about self play, you have to communicate and use team play to win objectives.

^ Get yourself known out there, a good way would be through live streaming or YouTube. Livestreaming would be a good tool because it shows all live gameplay instead of a cut section of gameplay. If I was a team owner of a Call of Duty team, I would prefer to see what you have in 95% of all your games instead of the 5% recorded clips on YouTube.

Good GB ratings can also help.

Also, I have seen many, and I mean many people fail in the past. I have had people come to me and ask me how they get into the competitive scene. It isn't easy but you can't give up. Practice,Practice, and even more Practice. You may not get onto a team right away like Curse NY, or Curse LV.

Go to mlg.tv and just watch some of the pro players videos they are always giving tips while livestreaming then go on gamebattles and grind. Get yourself known on youtube and start getting yourself squeezed into a pro team. Remember this will take a few years of practice if you are just starting off.
