also im on the newest recovery 16767 would it help if i downgrade to a older one?

Not really. A lot of people tried getting the CPU key off of a XDK but no one succeeded without the tools you've already mentioned.

The only way to get the CPU key is if the console was made to an XDK and someone dumped everything. But for you this is not the case, sorry man.

Well, unfortunately there's not much you can do with the CPU key of a XDK. That's why I asked the question.

i already know that. i just want it if i ever want to take it online

You cannot take a development kit online. They connect to a separate service called PartnerNET or PNET. They cannot access Xbox Live like a normal console or JTAG/RGH, that is a common misconception.

Are you fuking kidding me? Please do some more extensive research before misinforming op. To be fair, I don't think any public servers sell dev slots anyway.

Why did you even buy a devkit? You don't need it unless you're into game developing.

Very simple fix. Contact XBLS or anyone with a server. Set their plugin, and connect. You will get an auth failed message or whatever but they will be able to check their logs and give you the cpu key that connected, which will be yours. Regarding the person who said you cannot take your devkit on Xbox Live, you're wrong. XBLS offers the service and its actually very easy to, its just a few additional things you must change in memory.

Not always. I use mine for memory breakpoints. (Offhost Mods)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxZFqoYh4Nc just an example. People like Chrome mainly only use dev kits, even when he was hosting his GTA V lobbies.
