Can you tell us what GPU you are running?

The error your getting is just a driver error and can be fixed by un-installing the driver and installing the latest one which can be found [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

well something you did crashed the display driver and it recovered, it fixed itself. Are there any further problems you are experiencing?

Do these fuzzy lines stay permanently? or do they only last a few seconds?

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and provide us with a screenshot.

You need to un-install the drivers first before you install new ones.

Okay first i would suggest uninstalling the current driver and installing a more upto date version, Just to see if the problem is the driver itself, if it solves the problem great! if not then at least we have ticked a box and can try more methods.

First download a new upto date driver from here; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Make sure to fill in the fields correctly to ensure that you are getting the correct driver for your GPU.

Once downloaded, run the application as administrator it will uninstall your current driver and install the new one. This process will mean you need to restart the computer 3 times, it will prompt you every time you need to restart. After you have done this, please come back and tell us if the problem has been fixed or not.
