Hey, currently wondering if getting a Pentium G3258 and overclocking it using a good cooler would be better than putting in an Intel I5 4440. What do you guys think?

I've heard the G3258 can rival even 4770's when overclocked. I just need to know if it would be worth getting the Pentium or just sticking with the 4440, cheers.

Whoever told you that is wrong... The Pentium is the best bang for the buck but to be future-proof I would get the 4440 if you have the money.

Ugh I won't go into detail as I have a very similar thread on this matter. Essentially its out of a Pentium with a h55 water cooler, an 8320 or a 4440, but as it stands it seems my friend can't afford the 4440 and I'm trying to beat around the 8320 as the am3 path is dead.

So narrowed down its more like 8320 with stock cooling or Pentium with Z97 Mobo and H55.
