Can someone explain to me how Instagram takes up like 900megabytes

I dont get how when its so small?

Image & Video Cache, both video's/pictures you uploaded as well as other items previously loaded, you could delete it & redownload it & that should help

You can go through and clear the cache off Instagram as well as your phone and that will clear up a LOT of space from it.
