I have went through and have taken multiple hits of the GTA V peyote plant on xbox one. It disappears after you eat is. Does it ever come back or is that the only time you can take that specific peyote plant?

You can only eat the plant once. If you're curious about what animal you'll become make a quick save right before eating it. The animal you get is always random anyway.
