I live in a relatively small city in the North of Scotland, so there isn't much violence, so yeah, I feel pretty safe.

Im from a smallish town in Australia. Although there have been a shooting and some other stuff surrounding the bikies and drug stuff before i feel completely safe

Here in NYC My part of queens has alot of shit going around -_- So I feel safe cause I know wassup but then again, someones bound to catch a body.

I moved here summer of 2013, nothing really major has happened. The scariest thing that's happened is someone broke into my neighbors car, and that isnt even that scary.

Yes crime can happen anywhere, but I disagree with what you said. Your city may be a large city, small city, medium sized city, ect. How good is the police force in your city? Do you have any self protection (Gun, Security systems, ect). You get my point. Even if it is unsafe where you live, or crimes happen often, you can still make it safe.
