Yeah it should run games fine. Also if you're gonna spend that amount why not build a desktop? And you'll probably have enough money left over for a entry level laptop if you need portability for school etc.

Yeah it will run games fine, but for the price theres a lot better selection, i say build a desktop for the same price but a lot lot better

Can get so much better if you build your own system for that amount of money.

If you was to build one you should be looking at something like this

Options..

Could swap out the SLI 970 for a single 980.
Why? Because quite a few games are not optimized to run with SLI setups.

Could change the case there are many great options such as the h440, s340 , r4/r5 and so on..

Yes it will play games lol but it depends on what you want to use if for i guess if you do alot of travelling and like to take your gaming with you then by all means get a laptop but you could get a desktop with far better specs and for a cheaper price, follow this link and build you desktop PC, drop me a message id be happy to help!!
