Hey TTG members so i've just bought 4 corsair 120mm 3pin fans and put one on the rear of my case and the other 3 on the side on my case they work fine i had no trouble installing them but now when my system is running the 3 on the side make a whistle/vibration sound they're held in with GELID Rubber Fan Mounts and each run at 1500rpm they're also running off of a Phobya PWM 8x 4Pin Splitter and seeing as they're 3pin fans i can't lower the rpm so i was just wondering if someone else has had a problem like/similar to this and could suggest something that may help

Thanks in advance

You can lower the speed of 3-pin fans if you motherboard has inbuilt fan control. From my experience though, Corsair fans are just bad quality and rattle.

Had a similar issue when trying to use my case fan controller with Corsair SP and AF Fans they would make a buzzing sound when running at mid speed but worked fine on either Low/High

Not all Corsair fans are bad...

My AF140 is the quietest fan I've owned, never put a foot wrong. My AF120's weren't bad either.

All Corsair products are bad, the only good ones being the ones they didn't make and just slapped their sticker on (AX760i which is Seasonic for example).

Use some [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] if your motherboard doesn't support manual fan control.

I've recently brought a pair of sp120's and was pretty annoyed at the fact that at full speed, they was very loud.

After a couple of restarts and putting the fans in a different header, the motherboard controlled the speed so now they are nearly inaudible at the lowest speeds.
