RS is actually growing, believe it or not (I can't). There are usually 50K+ people on at all times in the main game.

The games is usually 100k+ on the weekends and around 70k on the week days when I get on. The game is growing at a nice rate, as if you were to check the high scores under weekly you would see their are 2 million users playing runescape 3 alone.

Nowadays, when you want to talk to someone, you have to initiate the conversation yourself.

Either than that, people are just trying to play, boss, grind, or whatever they want to do.

If you really want to be social, I recommend joining a clan and being active in it. The social interaction in clans is quite enjoyable.
