I would like to know if this could run DayZ Mod and SA at a decent FPS (40+)

CPU: AMD FX-6300 6-Core Processor 4.1GHz
GPU: MSI R9 280
RAM: 8GB 1866MHz
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
MO-BO: MSI 970 Gaming
Storage: Samsung EVO 250 GB SSD; WD BLACK Series 1TB HDD

I feel like I'm forgetting something so tell me if there is anything else needed. I am mainly interested in the mod because it has more stuff in it.

I can run it with my 270x, but it depends what server I'm playing on. The game is badly optimised and I'm still trying to find someone to help me with my settings.

I would highly recommend do not get any amd builds not really made for hardcore gaming

what? AMD IS made for gaming. Some of the best types of CPU's for overclocked high end gaming comes from AMD products because most PC components can't handle nearly as much. But an exception for alienware.

DayZ is highly CPU bound, a strong cpu is crucial to getting high frame rates. Although a quality gpu is still very important as always, but the cpu is more of a factor than in most other games.
