You knowingly attempted to modify the game

Three things in the ToS

Utilising unauthorised methods to gain advantage or disrupt the competitive landscape of Xbox Live

Intentionally playing with someone who is using unauthorised software, methods, or modifications

Exploiting game vulnerabilities or glitches

Attempting to join, or joining a modded lobby, is against Xbox Live terms of service...
Same thing goes for your friend, he was most likely caught attempting to join a modded lobby.
You can't just get a suspension for no reason. There's always a reason.

Read the ToS before coming onto here and acting like you're innocent. Jeez.

They knew that you were up past your bed time. For your punishment, they suspended to you make you learn your lesson.

Check your email associated with the account and you should have an e-mail awaiting your reading.
It will explain why you were suspended, and for how long.

You weren't suspended for no reason.

They don't suspend you for no reason.

Feel free to post on the support forums, an enforcement team member will inform you exactly what part of the ToS you broke, then you can stop trying to play innocent.

And I haven't posted once, but twice. Unless they take weeks to respond, I won't even bother next time, Ill just go out and buy a Wii.

For Xbox Support/Enforcement Team, it will take a few days for them to reply. They will investigate your account but chances are it won't be unbanned and you will have on wait.
