yeah haha, i have a budget around $2k but saving money is always a pro
do you think the price difference will have a big impact performance wise? I'm going to be gaming and editing primarily
im also hesitant to spend a lot for my first time then screw something up lol

Obviously the more expensive build is better.

Though, I'd be getting this;

No need for an 850W PSU, but it's in there so you can add another 2x980's in 3 way SLI in the future if you wish.
