What does it mean when you have "bricked" your console ? And how can you get it "bricked" anyways .

A bricked RGH/JTAG is a console that won't boot into Xell, the regular dashboard or anything else.
It basically can't do anything anymore.
Most people brick their console by downloading a system update from Xbox Live.

Bricking your console is literally defined as your console will now be used as a brick. It's rendered useless when it's bricked. You could get a bad flash and brick your console, run a faulty XeX file, or just bash it with a large sledgehammer. Bricked consoles can be fixed if its just from a bad flash, by re-flashing manually with a NAND-X. if you smashed your xbox with a sledgehammer though, I figure some ducktape and love would bring it back to life

In that case, your console is pretty much done.

Ah, well, there's nothing to worry about
Just don't do any updates on your console unless you're 1000% sure that it's not a system update.
And, as always, if you're unsure about something, just post in this forum and the members of TTG will be there to assist!
