I'm not sure if anyone on TTG has watched this video before but its actually quite interesting and answers a lot of questions. Like, "why is the campaign so confusing?", "What is the point of releasing a game on next gen consoles if you can't have a 'next gen' experience?", or "why are there parts of the DLC already on the main disc that you can go to even if you have not bought the DLC?".

If you're wondering if I'm one of those people that hasn't even inserted a Destiny disc in to a console and just bashes the game without any knowledge you're wrong. I'm level 30 and have put a wasted 200+ hours in to it. Yes I said wasted. In my opinion Destiny is probably one of the most over hyped games. I thought it amazing when it was first announced. Played the hell out of the beta and surely after the game was released I bought it. But I that grinding for level 30? Wasted. I want to here your comments on this video if you have any or why you think Destiny or/and the DLC is actually worth it! The video is about 36 minutes long but it's worth it. This guy has sources to back up all of his statements and its kinda hard to argue about some cases. But without further babbling, here it is.

This video is so eye opening, that really I don't know where to begin. Not only does it open your eyes to what Activision is doing, but also what happens in everyday business & politics. The same basic principles are applied. What does a politician do to get votes for an election? He sells his audience a rather inspirational and motivating advertisement to ensure that the individual watching that advertisement at home on their TV will vote for them. Sure, there are people who have opened their eyes. What about the average person? They are still hypnotized by the advertisement. And we all know that majority wins. Exactly what has happened in the gaming industry. Call of Duty, a title that will not die even after it's head has been chopped off. Call of Duty is the chicken. Destiny could have been a great game, but was cut down by Activision before it could spread it's wings. Like Batman states, its usually the games that have no hype that have more quality content. Maybe not Borderlands, but certainly other games. Although there are many publishers out there that just want your money, there are also some that are still dedicated to giving the player a reason to play. Companies like Bethesda still provide quality games that are far from lacking. Titles like Fallout & The Elder Scrolls are amongst my favorite game, but for publishers like Activision these games are a waste of time. Why? Because they are for an audience who has at least a high school education to comprehend. This limits them to a smaller amount of profit then if they dumbed the game down to what Destiny is. No matter how bad it is, kids will buy it because its something they can play & is "popular" amongst their friends. I admit, I wasted time playing Destiny as well, but I sure as hell learned something from it. Nowadays everything is about money. When video games were first invented, this was definitely not the case. People did it to create fun, and I hope that the few publishers & companies out there that still do remain loyal to their initial cause.

Let's be honest, money runs the world. Who honestly cares what they did with the game. I enjoy playing this game, and that's all the matters to me.

You are true and I do enjoy playing the game, and the fact that they had the vault on your disk already Doesn't mean it was "locked away" it means they were prepared to release it or they may have not been ready to. Then you talk about the trading system , I know a lot of players would take advantage of this on the 360 with the mods and that's probably one of the reasons why they did not add trading because they were affrade that modders would screw it up by adding more items that are exotics and screwing up the whole game ( like every other game moders have been in it)

But at the end no one knows why some things were taken out or not added, the only people that would know would be the people who worked on the game from day one . I for one will be playing this game for a long while to come

You're missing what he said in the video. And if the game developers were so worried about CoD being modded why do they continue to make game? Money. And anyways he explained that the reason they got rid of so much stuff including the trading is because apparently Activison wanted to make their games more appealing to a younger audience. 10 year olds won't understand the concept of an in game economy. Like he said, "A 18 year old gamer would out think a 10 year old gamer in this so called 'system of trades'. Also check the game rating. It's rated teen. This also shows they wanted Destiny to appeal to a younger audience... They didn't take trading out because of 'modders'. The most they can do to avoid anything being modded is to not release in on the PC. And lastly, the consumers did not pay for the Vault of Glass. So again the DLC was locked away until it was purchased. Yea they did plan on releasing it but also he said in the video they made so major last minute changes. One of the many factors that resulted in to these changes was that people weren't switching to next gen fast enough. And of course since Activsion likes making tons of money I think this resulted in removing a lot of content from Destiny turning it into paid DLC. Which is probably why the Lead Designer of Destiny quit just before the official release.

I totally respect that! The only thing that should matter is your enjoyment from the game. I too believed this game was the best but until I watched this video everything became clear. Now don't get me wrong if all my friends played Destiny I would start playing again just to have fun with them. But I won't be buying the DLC.

Soo your saying you would rather have a disk with 3GB then DLC drops and have a 1GB DLC Download?

Yes it was on the disk but i don't care its keeping my HDD that little bit spacier.

It doesn't matter about how much space the download takes up though. It seems you are also missing the point (assuming you are). Batmans explanation towards this is that the stuff on the disc was originally supposed to be fully unlocked. But they changed up the story and cut some stuff at. Please look back at the video if you are confused.
