No its a low end 4+ year old card.

You could also just of used Google to find benchmarks in games.

A 550Ti isnt a very bad card, in fact I had one a few years back and it were decent.

40 Potatoes? what currency? (use abbreviation) If its 40gbp i would say its a fair price but nothing spectacular.

as HALP said they were decent cards back in the day.
Just very old card.
If i can remember rightly i think it was in competition with the amd 7770/7750.
I own the 7770 now(i know slightly overkill for 1080p gaming)jk and it runs all i wan't to run and i bought mine for just 70 brand new ebay.

We will also need to know the make and model of your powersupply(open up the side panel of your case and should be a sticker on the side of the PSU indicating the Make and Model/wattage of the unit)

GTX 550Ti was released in 2010 and the Radeon HD7*** series were released in 2012 I think, I can't actually remember exactly but if I'm wrong, I'm not far off. The 550Ti was a decent card when it was released, but the GT 740 out-performs it so, no, noot really worth it IMHO. If your CPU doesn't have integrated graphics and you just need a cheap GPU, I suppose it'd be fine but I'd get something more recent.
