Whenever I go to a xbox party, I'm stuck in game chat and I cant get out of it

Does it come up with an error when you try to switch to party chat ?

No, when I press the button it does nothing. Makes the sound and stuff but nothing else

Try and completely exit the party app and then try again ?

I have tried that, I also shut the xbox off and that still didn't help

Do a power cycle by holding your finger on the on button for 10 seconds
