Hi there I am looking to buy my first real gaming computer and I really don't know much about this stuff, but I did my research and came up with this build. Now I know it may not be the best but I am looking for a system that can run just about any game a decent framerate with little to no lag. If you have any changes to my build please let me know. Thanks!

OMG
Build 2
3 CPU coolers, CPU and mobo not compatible, Overkill PSU, 16GB RAM(not needed if machines main use is gaming.

Yeah you could get something better than that cyberpower PC if you are willing to spend that much on it. I suggest you request a build with your budget so someone can help you out.

I lol'd so hard. I swear my dad's girlfriend thinks I have problems. This is the first time I've ever seen someone ask about a pre-built and a parts list and have the pre-built be better. If you have $1730 to spend on a pre-built, then you have $1730 to spend on components. Don't pay for an OS. It's much more worth spending 30-40 minutes to get an OS for free, rather than pay $90 for an OS.

$9 over before rebates, I'm sure you could manage it. If you're not overclocking, drop the cooler and get a Xeon instead of i7. No need for 16GB RAM, 8GB will suffice so change that if you wish. Spend less on a case if you wish. Most cases from Fractal or NZXT will are good and what I usually recommend. You probably won't need 3.5TB of storage. Get a smaller HDD if you wish. You could probably just get a 128GB SSD for your OS and a few games. With this build, you have support for another 980 if you ever wish to add another. An i5 would be more than enough for gaming, but you have the money for an i7. If you want, you could have two 980's in SLI but it would mean sacrificing some storage capacity, possibly sacrificing overclockability and getting a cheaper case, as well as possibly 8GB RAM instead of 16GB.
