When i bring my xbox 360 account to xbox one do i need to buy a separate 1 year code or its the same as you put it in your xbox.

Its the same on both consoles , just make sure you have gold on your account you will be able to play on both consoles, Hope i helped

Surely your Xbox live is tied into your account so it doesn't matter on the console whatsoever?

I don't know, I've only owned an Xbox One. But I'm pretty sure you won't need to buy one.

Like they said, it works on both consoles.
Cool thing is the gold works for ALL accounts on the Xbox One.
