ive been dating this girl for a year and im a very plain person. And our 2nd year is coming up but im lost on what i should do. also this is my first relationship

Do something very spontaneous! I would take her on a kayaking trip or go camping. If your as plain as you say then an outdoor adventure would surprise her.

I'm guessing you've already took her out to eat and the casual stuff
so do something exciting something she wouldn't expect
like say a trip to a amusement park with roller coasters or like if you
are committed to each other give her a promise ring Im not going to say engagement because that just seems a littleeeee early.

Just do something together with her that only you two know about like a special fishing spot, or just spend time together with her on a date. Take her somewhere nice and buy her flowers and food. You don't have to go all out with it, just show her that you care about her.
