Well 30FPS isn't exactly smooth. You could run BF4 with a few settings turned down at 60FPS, instead of having frame rate drops.

What you're suggesting is like saying "Oh yeah, my GTX 750 plays BF4 on Ultra at 20FPS, so much better than medium settings at 60FPS."

no not really because i said you can have ultra settings and it will stay play smooth i can max out with my r9 270x on bf4
