OK this is how you can tell if your ps3 can be downgrade. Look at the CECH at the back. Any thing with 3xxx A or B cant be downgraded.Anything under 3xxxx can be downgraded if you know what motherboard you have. Another way is go on YouTube and search up "firmware checker ps3" it will show you how low you ps3 can go down
