Hey everyone i have an iphone 1 gen with 3.1.3 firmware. I am trying to jailbreak it with redsnow but i cant get red snow to read the 3.1.2 firmware i downloaded. can someone post a link to the download or something plz
ALso the file i downloaded says its an evaluation copy and cant be read by the program. Does anyone know a way i can get the firmware on the file to be readable by readsnow?????

My advise is to stay away from redsnow because there is a lot of problems with it, i would use a program called Blackr1an. ( just search on youtube blackr1an jailbreak) It takes it about 5 sec to jailbreak it this way, and there hasn't been any problem accrue ret.

BlackRa1n is perfect for 3.1.2 Jailbreaks BUT if you are on 3.1.3 IT WILL NOT JAILBREAK IT! you will have to get sn0wbreeze.

WRONG. redsn0w is a much better jailbreak than blackra1n.
if you've updated to 3.1.3 then u cant jailbreak your iphone..

Well according to wikipedia...
3.1.3 can be jailbroken on iPhone (ALL) and iPod (ALL) withsomething called sn0wbreeze.

You can jailbreak it on 3.1.3, but you need the 3.1.2 firmware on your computer, and that is the one you browse for, or you could use sn0wbreeze
