It's an RGH'able dash. I wouldn't recommend you mod the Xbox yourself, mainly because it is more expensive and it will most likely end with you breaking the console.

You can RGH your console, but not Jtag it.

RGH1- Faster boot times, can only be done on Jasper and Falcon Motherboards, only on dash 8XXX-14699
RGH2- Slower boot times, made for slims on any dash, can be done on Falcon and Jasper, but boot times kinda suck, sometimes worse than slims

Zero_Point_Five wrote it can be RGH'd, but not JTAG'd

And would this be a relatively easy task if i followed tutorials or too hard you reckon ?

If you can solder and dont mind if you screw up then go ahead, you will need to purchase all the parts though... probably cheaper to get it sent off

I think i could probably solder , The xbox is banned anyway, its useless to me. Is that the hardest part ? The soldering.

The hardest part is not melting through the board, you really need prior knowledge if you plan to do this. I would use a broken xbox already so it doesn't matter if you break it. It would be beneficial if you sent it out to get it RGH'd. Just my personal opinion

Would it be worth sending off to get the RGH2 mod then ? Or would you just buy a brand new RGH1?

Buying RGH1's are much more expensive than just getting the RGH2 chip installed.
