Well im looking to Update my iphone 5s to the latest which is ios 8 and im on ios 7 its not letting me update and giving me a error code .. i tryed somewhat every solution if theres anything else you guys can help me with it would be nice

Another question is Updating the same as Restoring if i backup my iphone cant i just get everything back when i restore and then get ios 8 when i restore my things ?

I would try backing it up, resetting it, and restoring it.
If that doesn't work, contact Apple.

Yes because i have my iphone 5s JB but would it matter if i restored would i keep everything i have now ?

What error code is iTunes giving you? And if you're asking if restoring and updating are the same, yes, because if you restore, it'll put you in the newest firmware.

The error code is Error code (17) and i dont know why and what its about.. im just wondering if i restore would i keep everything i have now on my device

Well yeah im guessing thats most likey the reason. but im asking if i restore my device and use my backup after i restore everything will stay from what i have now untill i update my phone when i restore it .. if that makes sense lol

I highly doubt it, as it will still be jailbroken. (I believe)

I want to say yes, after you restore your backup, you should be on iOS 8 with your stuff back, but don't quote me on this.
