I felt like I should write a review about my experience of owning an Xbox One for about a year now.
Before we start, know these things: I do 95% of my gaming on Xbone or Xbox 360. Always have been an Xbox guy, but I won't excuse shitty features just because I favor Xbox.
NOTE: I will edit this post if I remember more things to add to the lists.
Every Single Downside To The Xbox One That I Have Experienced, In List Form:
1. Party chat has a half second delay for some reason, which makes party chat super annoying to use.
2. The headset adapter is garbage and the fact that you even have to buy one, unlike on the PS4, is ridiculous.
3. Having both an Xbox One and a Xbox 360 and using both frequently will mess up your NAT type from time to time.
4. The console itself will collect dust all over the top of it very frequently.
5. The controller takes like 5 seconds to turn on, unlike the Xbox 360 wireless controller which connects back in like 1.5 seconds.
6. Notifications in your notification bar take forever to disappear, my OCD always wants that number to go away but even after opening up my notifications, the number takes its time.
7. The YouTube app (at the moment) is changed and more difficult and annoying to use.
8. The Xbox Music app is dumb and doesn't make any sense.
Every Single Cool Thing About The Xbox One That I Have Experienced, In List Form:
1. The controller is only slightly different, and is still just as good or even slightly better than the 360 controller.
2. The console is fairly quiet, (which is to be expected), but is quiet enough to suit my comfort.
3. The console is bulky, but it honestly doesn't look that bad to me.
4. Every single game available for the Xbox One is available digitally. Though they rarely drop the digital game prices, I still have not bought a single disc game so far.
5. Kinect is actually awesome! It works AMAZING, and is super cool. Haven't tried using it in any games, but I have used it a ton for general voice commands and hand movement.
6. Games run great and at 1080p 60fps, like they promised.
7. Snapping achievements to the side is cool because it actually shows a progress bar for certain achievements.
8. You can access all of your Xbox One's settings and other features without closing a game.
Do I recommend the Xbox One? Eh. If you're someone who already owns a Xbox 360 and plays it very often, I would say nah. Personally I do not regret purchasing this console.

You forgot to add the fact that if you don't have the greatest ISP, games that are digitally downloaded take a day(s), which is extremely ridiculous.

That's true, though sorry, but I won't add that. I did have TERRIBLE internet when I first got my Xbox One and it was tough. Simply using my Xbox One on the trash internet was hard. Though now I have good internet. Great internet at that. So it's no longer a problem for me.

The fact you have shit internet is not the fault of the xbox one.

Agreed, but sometimes you can't really control your ISP because of your area. Sometimes you'll just have to deal with shitty internet. I just feel that dude's pain closer to the heart because I've had to deal with trash internet for a very long time.

The deal is if you have shitty internet then you shouldn't have a ps4 or xbox one. Internet is becoming a need for next gen consoles and theres no point if your internet sucks. I know people that are still stuck at 1mbps or lower that just cant play online because of this. I have 100mbps and sometimes I wish I had more.

My internet is, on a very good day with only me on the internet, .5 Mbps and I can play online fairly well without lag although it takes a very long time to DL games. What I do is just rent the game at a rental place, install it at home, and then buy the game on marketplace cuz then it's already installed so you can just buy and play
