Hi everyone, I just got done installing CS:GO and Gmod onto my brand new computer. I have gone through tons of forums on steam and looked at many youtube videos but none of them seem to work. I am starting to get a bit frustrated so If you could help me that would be awesome. So this is what happens.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I Open steam.
Click on 'Play' CS:GO
My screen flashes and It acts like it's going to boot up but it doesn't
Then I click play again and It says, "Failed to Start (app already running)"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone has a fix to this glitch or bug please help me out! Thanks!

There is actually 2 drivers that it won't let me update for some reason. I don't know why.
But I downloaded a Free to Play game and it's letting me start that up and play it
I did go into the steam support forums and saw that CS:GO and Gmod have been acting up lately. So idk. I'll try to update the drivers again.

Normally when it says its already running it means its running as a process already, press CTRL + Delete and go to your task manager, then end the process called "csgo.exe" and try launching again.

right click tast bar hit task manager then close the process then run it again if still not make sure you have the correct directx dx11 or 12 idk if that is updated then try right click game on steam in your library properties then advance commands or what ever and put -dx level 90 i think it is try googling the how to lower the direct x level on steam games cause it sounds like thats the case but yeah also if the game is fullscreen it messes up and wont open i would put it in window fullscreen same thing as fullscreen but better thats only after you get it running theres a cmd to make it windowed but idk which it is but mostly fullscreening go ends up breaking sometimes
