So I'm building my pc soon and I'm still undecided on a CPU. Would it be worth getting the Intel i7 4790k or should I stick with the i7 3770k :
I'm running a gtx 980 sc atx 2.0

If you already have a 3770k, stick with it, no real need to upgrade. In all honesty, I feel like your next logical upgrade is Skylake in late 2015.

Even then would be questionable since the difference will be about 10% but a massive upfront fee for DDR4 support if you choose to want it.
