So I'm level 22 and I have no idea what to do next to get legendary or even exotic gear. Any tips or glitches or anything you guys could give me?

Play strikes and you will get gear with more light to rank you up

Join a faction. Fastest way to get 33+ light gear. Just make sure you have crucible marks and once you get your faction to level 2 you'll be able to buy gear. (Helmets and Chestpiece would need a crucible commendation)

Factions are in the game there like Future war cult or new monarchy and dead orbit

just do vanguard bounties every day wait until you are level 2 on your vanguard and then just do a lot of vanguard tiger strikes and that will possibly get you to level 30. And if you grind for a bunch of time you will get legendary engrams but I've been playing this game for about 3 to 400 hours and I've only had about 4 or 5 legendarys
