So, i have a gift card, but you can't buy renewable things with gift cards.. so if i put $10 on my Microsoft account, can i buy XBL Gold with that, or nah?

I don't think you are able to buy xbox live gold with giftcards.

You may be able to but then again Xbox will be Xbox and you might get some dumb error.
