Good morning everyone. I just tried to update my dash launch to the latest version and now my jtag wont boot. It will not boot into xell, or fsd, or anything. I tried every variable i could think of ( hard drive removed, dvd removed.. etc). I do not have any hardware to reflash my nand, if thats even what has to happen. are there any tests i can do to see if the fuses are blown, or anything like that? If it needs to be reflashed, I suppose I will buy a j-r programmer or something.. I am not sure. Please help me :-(
My mobo is a xenon, kernal 16767. I have a copy of my old nand info.
Thank you,
Rez

Turn the console on by pressing the eject button to boot into XeLL, this should boot the console up. You can then delete Dashlaunch. This is probably caused by you not being on the latest dashboard version, update to 17150 and put Dashlaunch back on there. If this doesn't fix it, feel free to PM me

I cannot boot into Xell. It just stays on a black screen, with the center led on the xbox blinking green. I am going to try to press eject, then see if I can ping the xbox. Any other ideas?
Thanks,

If it doesn't boot into XeLL, then you're f*cked.
Instead of creating any more of a giant paperweight, find someone who has send-in services in which they offer hard flashing for your RGH. They'll flash it through the hardware to the newest dashboard and you'll be all set.
Have a good $75 on hand to do it, give or take a few bucks. That's what I paid when I had it done.

I have a guy that just reballed it, and fixed it for a decent price. Is it worth it investing in Jtag equipment so I can do it myself though? That is what i am leaning towards. It is 2 days shipping to him, then a few days for him to fix it, then 2 days back to me. Damn alcohol and bright ideas -.- gets me every time. lol

To be honest, it seems as if you are putting so much extra money into a Xenon. I would sell it if you could and buy a Trinity; no cooling problems and very reliable.

It's a xenon on original JTAG, so it must be your nand, go ahead and buy a JR Programmer and flash the old nand to it, that's the only way out,, if Xell doesn't boot up.
