So I purchased a Xbone a while back, got bored of it and sold it to a friend. Now there are more games out and I have more friends with the console, if I were to buy another one, would I still have all my progress from previous games? I wasn't sure if there was some type of cloud backup so when I go to play again I will have everything. Or will I have to start from zero? Thanks in advance!

As long as you use the same profile which you used before then yes, you would still have all your progress

As above, all game data is saved in the cloud so as long as you use the same account, you'll have the progress.
