They haven't tweeted an update in 11hrs the last one said that the servers were gradually rebooting so they take 11 hours to boot because I still cant get on! I done the bypass thing where you change your MTU settings to 1473 and because my email is not verified it tells me to go to my PSN sign in email and i should have received an email with further instructions but guess what? No fricking email! What a surprise! I have resent the email many times and there's still no email! I got my PS4 on Christmas and still haven't managed to get online it has been 3 days going on 4. I'm so pissed and fed up!

I don't have a PS4, but I am able to access psn on my ps3 just fine. I think you're just missing something, as said by Unbind. Try contacting support, they may be able to help you.

Notice their servers are also getting over loaded with requests if they are even rebooted yet due to everyone trying to get on it will send out multiple requests from all these people that want to get on PSN in which is just like the attacks that were hitting the servers as they were DDoS attacks which send out requests as well

So with that being said it can take some time for Sony to through their servers back up as an IT manager for a company I work for if you get DDoS attacks flying your way you dont just re-boot real quick

You see as PSN is jsut one network they use different servers for the consoles so coding for the routers and switches dont come in conflict with one another, but the servers are at the same data base yes (data base where information for companies are held in which large companies have their own Data Base's) another factor is your region compared to his as large gaming companies such as sony and microsoft have multiple data bases all around the world

I am aware xbox is far better as they are with microsoft and have better routers and switches and go through a Cisco Data Center, and because the attacks persisted but luckily xbox attacks have ceased PSN on the other hand are still gettign hit by lizard squad not as heavy but still are it should stop soon
