Hey guys, so i was watching some tutorials, and came up with this scene of a low poly image.
I made everything in here myself, all the tress/ roads/ mountains.

I want your guys' feedback on what i should add or take away.

Trees are too small, where are the clouds if the mountains are that tall?
Either the trees are too small, or the mountains are way too high up and no clouds.

It never hurts to know different, styles how do you think design transforms?

on-topic: I'm not a big fan of the grass/tree's, I like the mountain but I don't think the grass colour complements this style, I think you should change the colour of the sky to a colour similar to the color you've chosen for the ice but a little bit lighter.

Good work though man keep learning

I might challenge myself to do a low-poly piece :^)

Just starting design and jumping into a really generic and overdone style is never a good option,
you will get bored and unmotivated to change and keep doing it,
imo its also a very boring and unappealing style

Consistency is key, and this looks inconsistent to me.

The mountains are low poly, but the ground and tree trunks are not.
They're completely rounded, making them not match the low poly theme.
And while those have some lighting effects to them, the sky is so flat.

I would also change the icy thing. It looks weird being transparent.

The bottom right is also too dark.

I'd suggest working on keeping it consistent, fixing the lighting, and choosing a better color palette.

A pastel color scheme could look nice.

I get that you don't like the style, but just because you think the style is "boring and unappealing" doesn't mean you should discourage someone else from trying to improve.

"starting design and jumping into a really generic and overdone style is never a good option"

Why not ? If you can learn skills that you can use on other pieces of work then it's actually not as bad as you think.

"you will get bored and unmotivated to change and keep doing it, "

I'm not sure how you can make that call, maybe that's something that happens with you but not everybody is the same.

Anyway imagine-,

this is a rough idea of what it looks like with a lighter sky, I think it looks better.

Here's the RGB code #9eddfb

I think if you brighten the rest of it up it'll look great
