So basically, I'm thinking about buying a Dual X R9 280, but I'm not sure if my PSU will be compatible with it? It's a Silverstone 500W ST50F-ES! I've heard the R9 needs a 6 Pin or something, and I'm not sure if the PSU has one? I'm not good with all this mumbo jumbo, so any help is greatly appreciated!

the SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280 recommends at least 500w psu, which you have. I looked up you power supply and it says it has one 6-pin connector, and one 8/6-pin connector. Which means that yes your power supply should be able to power the card. If you plan on overclocking you might run into trouble though.

500w won't be enough to power 2 cards you will need something with a bit more power.

Ignore me I was a derp.

Dude you're a lifesaver! Thank you! I don't plan on OC'ing it, don't wanna void the warranty!

It'll support that gpu and erm no overclocking doesn't void your warranty unless you unlocked the bios
