So I just installed a new CPU into my build, and I had an issue with my fan. It is the kind where you turn each pin, then push the fan into place. One of the pins had a slight issue, and a small plastic piece fell off.
I also just put in a new graphics card, which was making noise, but this noise wasn't happening until after starting it up with the new processor.

I'm assuming the noise is coming from the CPU fan, which I start hearing when I play a more intensive game.

Anyways, are there any fixes for this? I have another LGA 1150 fan, could I remove one of the pins on it and put it on the fan I'm currently using? Should I just get another fan?

You probably didn't secure the processor cooler tightly as one of the pins is damaged. If you have another Intel stock cooler you can replace it with that as they are all the same, but don't forgot you'll need thermal paste unless its pre-applied.

Or you can buy a bigger cooler should you think you need it.
