I had a an mw2 patch but I couldn't get xp to work. And it didn't have stats. I tried to download outbreak v 1.2. When I did the file contained a .dll file and a default_mp.xex file. I put those in my mw2 folder and now when I boot my default_mp.xex it goes to a black screen. Everything worked before. I thought I might have had too many different files in there. So I deleted mw2. I re ripped mw2. Put the .dll and the default_mp.xex in the folder. And I still get a black screen. It worked when I had my other patch. But when I downloaded my other patch there were a lot more files in the folder. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Trying to host free xp lobbies for ttg.

Try to disable FakeLive in dashlaunch if enabled.
edit.
misread, don't press anything while loading the dll, just wait until main menu appears.

It is most likely caused by he faulty .dll, try and download it from somewhere else
