Game Information:
Release Date:16th April, 2008
Developers: Nadeo
Publishers: Ubisoft
Platforms: Microsoft Windows
Genre: Racing

Synopsis:

A free game in the truest sense of the word, TrackMania Nations Forever lets you drive at mind-blowing speeds on fun and spectacular tracks in solo and multiplayer modes.

TrackMania Nations Forever offers a new "Forever" version of the Stadium environment, a solid solo mode and 65 brand new, progressively challenging tracks. TrackMania Nations Forever will unite an even larger number of players than the original Nations thanks to its engaging multiplayer modes, innovative online functions and revolutionary interactivity between players.

Gameplay:

When I originally downloaded this game after a friend told me about it I was a bit skeptic on how good/fun it'll be, because it's a free game I was thinking it's not going to run well, it's going to feel unfinished... well I was wrong; The game runs smoothly and feels great when your playing it. When driving cars around the track it feels like you have full control over the cars, when playing the game I didn't notice any glitches, or anything that was game breaking or even noticeable, it truly felt like a well built game. You can chose to play multiplayer alone or with friends but you can also chose to play solo, which can be fun but not as near as fun as multiplayer since it's more competitive. You have laps, rounds and starting positions like other racing games unless you want to play custom maps, where you have to go past cray obstacle courses etc. There are also 100+ tracks on which you can play on so mastering them all will be a challenge! The game also supports Leaderboards, ladders etc and an in game editor so you can create your own custom tracks which you can share for the world. I'd say there is no problems with the game which I came across so pick this up and get playing; its on steam for free. This game is also very skill based which means no one has the advantage, it goes on time, so whether you have a worse starting position; that doesn't matter its all skill based which makes the game even better.

Graphics:
When I started up the game, the menu's and user interface looks old and tacky, which put me off some bit, I was thinking this game is going to be horrible, with stupid graphic glitches and an overall bad finish, but once again this game proved me wrong. On the highest quality the game truly did look amazing, I'm not talking the best graphics but for a free game that is arcade style it was perfect and well suited. The game is 3D, with options for motion blur etc. When driving around the track taking your eyes off the road to look at the graphics can be bad, since you can crash but other than that you won't really be bothered by the graphics since you are most likely focusing on the track. But if you do take notice of the graphics you won't be disappointed, for a 2008 game the graphics feel like they could fit in with some games of 2014 (Arcade style/based), other than that I thought the graphics they used was well suited and was a good choice.

Controls:
The controls in this game are easy, all you need is a keyboard; In this game you can configure you keyboard/keys so doesn't matter what set up you really want, the game used the Arrow keys also backspace and enter, that is all the controls pretty much; when playing the game though the controls and game felt really good and responsive, it never felt like it didn't register the keys, every time I hit a button it registered it perfectly and seamlessly. There is not much to be said about the controls since there are not that many and its pretty vague so all in all the controls are suited for any person, whether they be young or even people new to pc games will be able to play the game easily.

Pro's/ Con's:
Pros:
Free to play game;
100+ tracks
multiplayer;
customization;
easy to run;
easy controls;

Con's:
User interface looked tacky.
