Happens to me all the time trying to play Minecraft with someone on here and it says neither of us are talking.

Go to your home and push the start button on party and then push quit. Then rejoin and it should fix it

Was doing that to me too, had to reset my xbox ( hold the power button for 8 secs)

Try doing a hard reset. Hold down the off/on button on the console till it turn's off, then turn it back on.

The xbox one just happens to be a little glitchy, all you need to do is quit the party app and rejoin.

It isn't always the Xbox. It could be your router connection. Showing a strict Nat type. (I had an issue with a router I bought, it caused the open to show Open Nat type, but was actually strict) the issue was a firmware issue and was unfixable until a new firmware update. I ended up just buying a new router.

Have you recently bought a new modem, router, updated firmware on the router/modem? Is your Modem or Router from your ISP, they automatically push firmware updates to them. So anyway, many issues could be the problem.

I couldn't hear people on my Xbox One due to the issue with my router, so anyway, go find your problem and fix it! (:

I usually turn off my xbox and it works that way. It happens to me EVERY day.
