So I'm trying to get an upgrade list together, and I want to best parts for the money. I use my PC primarily for Graphic Designing (Photoshop, Illustrator, C4D) and Gaming.
This is a rundown of what I need: CPU, Mobo, Video Card, and PSU.
These are currently the parts I'm looking to go with, but I was wondering if there are any other alternatives that may be better? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

What you're looking at is already over your $700 budget then. You could save a bit of money by getting this;

You'll want a decent aftermarket cooler for overclocking that CPU though and you can save money on motherboard if you don't need SLI support. Add an SSD when you can.
This is within budget;

but no SLI support or overclockability. The Xeon has 8 threads, like an i7 so will be beneficial in editing and rendering.

Well I guess I kinda worded my budget poorly.. I currently have $700 and make about $120 a weekend.. so I can save a few more weeks if the first would be better for me to get

Up to you. If you're overclocking, you'll need a "k" class CPU with a Z series board and decent cooler. If you're not overclocking, Xeon will be fine with stock cooler.
Do you want SLI support? Do you have a specific colour scheme? Will you overclock or not?

SLI support isn't a big must have, doubt I see myself ever needing it. Don't really see myself OC'ing either. Black/Green colors preferred. not really picky though

Vondy wrote yeah...ima say that's a no go lol. could i use this one you linked earlier? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]Yeah, but that board only has 2 RAM slots, you'd be better going for something with 4 RAM slots. Any H81, B85, H87, H97, Z87 or Z97 chipset motherboard will work. HALP has a thread somewhere with information on LGA1150 chipsets, might help you out. I'd suggest grabbing an ATX board with 4 RAM slots, considering you have an ATX case of course. An mATX mobo in an ATX case will look kind of out of place.
