I can't really afford and SSD unless I only get like 120gb which isn't enough without an HDD to go with it so I was looking at a 1Tb SSHD (8gb ssd), specifically [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , and I just wanted to see what peoples experience and opinions are of these?

Well you could just buy the SSD now then get a HDD later, The SSHD Performance is not much greater than a WD Black and they will slow down after time.

Thanks, as I really can't afford an SSD right now I will have to get either SSHD or HDD. SSHD's look pretty significantly better than HDDs so I guess that's what I'll get. Barely costs any more than an HDD as well.

If the price really is marginal, get the SSHD but make no bones about it you are STILL getting a HDD which a bit of SSD space slapped onto it.

From what I've read and watched, it is significantly faster (like half the time for some things) and for very little more cost. On the other hand, an SSD is even faster but costs several times the price which I just can't afford (or even justify really)

Why not get a standard quiet hard drive now like a WD Green, then get a small 60GB SSD for your OS only?
