Im having issues setting up dual monitors. I have bought a HDMI splitter today to try and make the monitors become two diffrent ones. Like i can play on one and google on the other. ( Or somthing like that ) I would like to talk to someone on skype about it if possible. It would be easier that way. ( my skype name is micsacred ). Please help thanks. If you cant help on skype just comment on here.
Issue: i set it up like in the youtube videos of people doing it with HDMI splitters and they can do the extended view. When i do extended view, it just clones them. Like the same on both screens. No matter what i do it stays like that. Please help. Thanks.

You have to have two display outputs on your computer and two display cables not a HDMI splitter, plug one display cord into one display outputs on you computer and plug the other end of the cord into one monitor and repeat this process for the other monitor. A HDMI splitter takes the output from a device and duplicates it over to multiple displays. Imagine if u have a twizzler( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and you cut it in the exact middle then u have two identical pieces thats kinda what a HDMI splitter does it takes the signal sent from the computer and spilts it into two identical outputs

Here is a picture of what you would have to do to setup dual screen monitors( if u have HDMI then replace the VGA and DVI cables with the HDMI Cable's)...

To get to my point, you're not going to be able to extend displays with a splitter the only thing you could do would be to duplicate the displays.
