Hi TTG got a bit of a PC issue some PC issues someone would be able to help me with?
Just got a Z97 GD65 and i5 4690K yesterday. Went into the bios a couple of times. Checked both bios's worked, they did. Went in this morning with the intent to install windows and bios A gives post code A2 and the screen says "Boot guard verification dxe is fail" and shuts off.
Bios B works after 4 mins of north ( or south i forgot ) bridge initialising.
I have tried unplugging everything but 4GB ram keyboard mouse cpu psu, but still nothing.
I updated bios B with m flash via usb and it updated hoping it would update both and fix the issue but nothing changed (apart from bios b getting an update)
So basically is bios A bricked? And why! Also how do / can i fix it?
Also why does bios b take so long to boot into the bios? It gives code 71 on the board
Thanks
System specs
MSI Z97 GD-65
i5 4690K stock speed
256GB Crucuial mx 100 ssd
500GB HHD
ihas 124 c dvd drive
no GPU
h60 water cooler
zalman z9+ case
2*4GB G skill 1333MHz ram
I WILL REP IF I GET THIS RESOLVED , I WOULD LIKE TO AVOID SENDING IT BACK OR RMA IF POSSIBLE

Which version of Windows are you trying to install?
Edit: You can boot to BIOS A and attempt to update that manually. If the BIOS is faulty it should fix the issue.

Tried to install windows 8 from usb but i 'forgot' my code expecting a free trial but i remember what i should of done for that now.....
No BIOS A is the bios which has the fail / error and won't let me do anything.
It's BIOS B which lets me in after a couple minutes waiting.
I dont entirely understand how I would update it , could you please go into more detail? Thanks.

Different boards have different methods, but it will be explained in your motherboards manual. On previous motherboard i've owned there has been a function along the lines of Windows Secure Boot. Its a setting designed for use with Windows 8 but in my experience its caused more issues than its worth, so see if your board has that and disable it anyway.

I can't do anything in bios a. Nothing at all. I can just press a key to shut it off.
If its possible to recover it through bios b? Bios b boots and im sure i could even get windows on it and just have to wait 5 mins for it to boot. but i dont know if its possible, do you?
