On my BIOS, under SATA Config, it says its empty in the port i plugged it into

The only other things to try are; trying different cables and connectors, plugging a different drive into the cables you're trying to use and see if you can recreate the issue otherwise the drive may be faulty.

Just unplugged power from the hdd and plugged it back in and it made a sound. Still not showing up though...

I havent got another drive, i think it could be the SATA cable because the drive makes a noise when it boots.

If you have built the system new then you should have more than one SATA data cable with the motherboard. Even without a data cable plugged in the drive should move its heads and start spinning. You'd be able to tell as when the drive starts it lurches slightly.

Tried both SATA cables nothing happening still :S
