Wand wrote I would go with the first build, you don't need to invest so much into your power supply haha. I like the first one because the GPU is better and you included an SSD.

EDIT: Change the 1x8GB stick into 2x4GB sticks. Unless you plan on adding another 8GB stick.

iIrritate wrote If u chose the first build i highly doubt that u would get far with only 120 gigabytes of storage. I would personally go with the second build with a few changes but its up you.

That is not his HDD, that is called an SSD which can give you better boot times if you only put Windows on it.

HDD = Hard Disk Drive
SSD = Solid State Drive

Yes i know what a SSD is and the second build includes a SSD. He/she only has one 120 GB SSD in the first build, thats not very much storage, he should atleast have 1 TB of storage, and i hope your not serious saying that a GTX 760 is better than a GTX 970.
And while yes he doesn't need to invest so much money in a PSU he should still get a good PSU and not cheap out in that are AT ALL. Please study up before you treat me like i know nothing about a computer, Thanks.

That build will max out any games on a 1080P monitor. Minecraft will be easy I hit around 700 FPS in a server with like 40 people on a R9 270. The 970 is the best back for buck GPU.

Um, 'fraid the GTX 760 is not better than the GTX 970. I'm pretty sure he knows what an SSD is, but he's not wrong. The 1st build does only have 120GB of storage, whether it's an SSD or HDD.

OP-Will you even be overclocking? If not, overclockable components are a waste of money.

Now, I'll list what's wrong with your original builds. 3570k is old gen CPU, not much point buying it now if you're starting a new build. Only reason to buy a 3570k, would be if it was an upgrade, you already had a compatible motherboard and didn't want to upgrade motherboard. There is no need to pay so much for a PSU. A PSU is your Power Supply Unit, it gives power to your PC, essentially the heart of your computer so you definitely should not cheap out on this and buy a bad quality PSU, but no need to spend so much. The CX600 is a horrible PSU, do not buy it. It's quite unlikely that you will need an optical drive, so you could get rid of that unless you know that you will specifically need it for something.

What will the resolution say if it's a 1080 screen?
