Hey! Me and my friend decided that we want to start making videos for YouTube of us playing games just for fun! We'll be playing games like Borderlands, League of legends and such.
Anyway, do you have any tips for good programs? Are there even any good free programs?

Thanks in advance! Greatly appreciated

FRAPS is a good recording software program, however you need to buy it.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you should have "NVIDIA GeForce Experience" and from there, there is a built in recorder named "ShadowPlay" It's high quality with neat optimizations.

if you have a geforce graphics card use shadow play. it records straight of your gpu and reduces fram loss when recording.

As above, if you have Shadow play available to you, use it
if not, I have found that Mirillis Action! is one of the better recording software that doesn't turn a 5 min long video into 100000000GB like FRAPS does.
It isn't free, but due to the wonders of the internet, a quick Google search and you can get it for free.

you can easily slim down the size of the file and still keep the 1080p resolution so fraps isn't totally out of the question.
