I have been gaming since 1992 and I have played hundreds of games. Not once have I labelled myself as a gamer or got excited about calling myself a gamer (Although I think I qualify)

Your perceptions on what a gamer is freaks me out to be honest because according to you playing a game does not make you a gamer. (not sure if you are confused or just blatantly looking for an argument on the Internet)

There are different types of gamers out there (see pic) so you really need to broaden your horizons buddy and stop labelling other people and focus on yourself rather than trying to discredit people with......well ridiculous reasoning.

Here is that pic by the way it opens up a whole new argument on the type of gamer you are (Providing you actually play a game for longer than 2 mins )

I took the image from the internet I did not make it myself (my deepest apologies for doing so) if you wish to check out where I got it from this is the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Yeah, I hardly ever go a day without playing some video game. I just can't stand girls that say 'I'm a gamer girl' when they don't even play! Anyway, no girls are running after 'gamer guys' so what difference does it make?

Since video games have become even more popular, it's like it's now a competition to see who plays the most.

Okay, so because you do not like minecraft, call of duty, ect. Everyone who plays those games aren't considered gamers?

Who the hell takes 1 step in a minecraft lobby and leaves to never turn their xbox on again btw? You are fighting a losing battle, no matter what game they play, why can they not consider themselves gamers? That's pretty selfish, are you better than all of us gamers?

Do you have a vendetta for all those 'fake' gamers, you know, the ones who PLAY GAMES...

Weird how the world works that way....

Moronic wrote Actually even if people only plays one game they are still classed as a gamer, I think you need to calm down a little. Gamer definition : A person who plays a game or games, typically a participant in a computer or role-playing game.

So I can play Minecraft for 3 seconds then go around shouting I'm a gamer? No. As I said, I gave my perception on what a gamer is.

That's like saying " I'm a football player " because they've played football once in their back garden. Just no.

Not really they aren't saying that they are a "pro gamer" they are just saying they play games which makes them a gamer, the game style doesn't matter whether it's shooting or building blocks they are still classed as a gamer. Also you can't "Give your own words of a gamer" as a gamer is a gamer and that is evidently someone who simply plays a game/games.

You can't play a single game and say " gamer " to me, gamer is plural. If you play 1 game you say " I play 1 game " not " I'm a gamer " and when that game is as I said, the same generic games everyone's playing and you've only played them since you just got a console at Christmas, you're not a ' gamer '.

Go back to my second comment about the football remark. Same applies.

Also, you downvoted my comment but failed to mention on it. You just said something that didn't apply to what I said. If someone loads up Minecraft and logs in, that doesn't make them a gamer.

You are literally to dumb to deal with.

To cut it short I'm not going to argue with you however I want you to do one thing.
Open Google and search for the word "Gamer" tell me what comes up, I'll do it for you actually.

Yes that's right "Someone who plays a game or games"
By the way, football has nothing to do with gaming.

For the 3rd time. *Sigh*

So if I download Minecraft, log in and take 1 step, log it, I'm a gamer? No.

People like you don't use your brain and just run to copy and paste make typing effortless.

Yeah, but why would you do that? oh wait nobody goes into minecraft for 1 second and then logs to say that they are a gamer plz just stfu

Actually, you could do both of your examples if you really wanted to and they would both be legitimate. I personally think that you care a little too much about what other people are saying and doing and you are just going to have to get over that, man.
