So recently Jon 'Bones' Jones tested positive for Cocaine which he possibly did in Brazil during training camp and he is being praised. The UFC his sponsors and many more people released statements praising him for going into rehab. The UFC are not fining him or stripping his title and all I have to say if that was me I wouldn't see freedom for at least a year.

Welcome to reality my friend. Were the celebrities do coke and get off scott free and people like us would be facing jail time. I dont see myself doing this in the future though so I dont really care if he goes to jail or not.

Sadly, that is how life works. I was really upset to see 'Bones' do this though. I really like him as a fighter.

Coke isn't really a drug that enhances play like steroids would. It has a high of around 30-45 mins so I can understand why the UFC wouldn't fine him. It is highly unlikely he used it during any matches.
Although I could see stripping him of his title and some sponsors dropping him but that would do little to help the situation.
Secondly you don't get arrested for testing positive to drugs, you get arrested for possession and selling among other things. (not sure what the laws in brazil are like)
Coke is a hell of a drug to get addicted too and its good he is going to rehab.

I do agree with this rant. Many celebirites do it though and get away with things because they have too much money and they don't know what to spend it on
They either become an alcholic/drug addict or commit some sort of stupid crime which get's them in all sorts of trouble and once they've served their sentence they just go back to their celebrity status
It's a joke but hey least we know one thing, 'Money talks', the world's full of celebs who get away with too much too easily.

They do, but he did it in Brazil, which, has different laws than the US does. Can't charge him for a 'crime' he did thousands of miles away.

I see the point you're trying to make but
1) Why would they strip him of his Title?
2) Maybe it is not within the terms for the UFC to fine him for something like that.
(I don't know though)
