Hi there, i thought i would just post this for the noobies and for everyone else.
You will be checking your .xex files, they can be made to brick your RGH.
I will also post ways that you can brick your JTAG/ RGH and how to prevent it.
You Need
Hex Editor (HxD)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Your files to check.
What you need to do:
Open up HxD
Drag your file in. Example: default_mp.xex
Direct yourself to the search tab, and click find, then type "recovery.exe"
If it comes up with no results, it wont brick your JTAG/RGH on launch.
if it finds it. delete it.
Do this for everything you download for your JTAG/RGH
Other methods to avoid bricking your JTAG
Dont update the Dashboard through your JTAG/RGH
this will blow the efuse leaving it bricked.
Installing Plug-Ins etc,
watch a video and follow it correctly, or you could run a risk of bricking your console
PM Me if i got anything wrong, or i could add to the list of ways to avoid bricking..
Enjoy!
